About Charlotte
Lottie graduated from the University of Manchester with an LLB (Hons) in 2022 and has recently completed her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Manchester.
She worked at McAlister Family Law for three years as a paralegal within the childcare team, where she has gained experience working on behalf of children, local authorities and parents, in a range of children law matters. She has also recently started to undertake her own advocacy, with a hope to progressing this when she qualifies as a solicitor.
Lottie has always aspired to be a solicitor, her interest in the law was affirmed by attending talks by solicitors at her school’s law society, as well as shadowing family and criminal solicitors during her work experience and attending lectures at the Civil Justice Centre in Manchester. This passion continued with her volunteer work with children.
Lottie has coordinated Beyond Law Group’s work experience programme for the past four years, stepping out of her day-to-day role to help students gain beneficial legal experience and insight into the firm’s core values and ethos, and what it is like to work at Beyond.
Lottie is currently undertaking her training contract with Beyond Law Group, gaining experience across a variety of the firm’s specialist practice areas. She is currently completing a seat in our private children team, where she is gaining experience in international child abduction and child relocation matters, in addition to further developing her expertise across a range of children law matters ahead of qualification.
