McAlister Family Law Strengthens Leadership Team with Appointment of David Burrows as Associate Partner

McAlister Family Law is delighted to announce the appointment of David Burrows as Associate Partner, marking another significant step in the practice’s continued growth and commitment to attracting top-tier legal talent.

David joins the practice with extensive experience in family law, advising clients across a broad range of matters arising from relationship breakdown. His appointment follows a period of strong growth for McAlister Family Law, including the arrival of senior family lawyer Christine Barker earlier this year, who David has a long-standing professional relationship with having worked together for several years. David’s arrival further strengthens the team’s capability and capacity.

David has expertise in complex financial remedy matters following divorce, as well as disputes relating to arrangements for children, including relocation cases both within the UK and internationally, and financial provision for children. In addition, he advises unmarried couples on living arrangements and rights following relationship breakdown.

David has been recognised in Legal 500, where a client described him as: “an abundance of knowledge… so professional and with a very kind demeanour. Nothing is too much trouble and he is very patient, but firm. He’s so technical, everything he does is well thought out and precise.”

Amanda McAlister, Managing Partner of McAlister Family Law, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome David to McAlister Family Law.. His appointment reflects our continued growth and our commitment to bringing exceptional talent into the practice. David’s reputation for delivering pragmatic advice and his collaborative working style make him an excellent fit for our team and our clients. We have already seen the positive impact of Christine Barker joining earlier this year, and David’s arrival builds further on that momentum.”

David Burrows, Associate Partner, said: “I am thrilled to be joining McAlister Family Law at such an exciting time in its growth. The practice has built a strong reputation for excellence and client-focused service, and I am particularly pleased to be working alongside Christine again. We have worked closely together for many years, and I am looking forward to contributing to the continued success of the practice and supporting clients through what are often challenging times.”

The appointment of David Burrows shows McAlister Family Law’s ongoing investment in strengthening its leadership team and enhancing the depth of expertise available to its clients as demand for high-quality family law services continues to grow.
