NARPO Family Law
NARPO Family Lawyers
Our practice’s relationship with NARPO (the National Association of Retired Police Officers) began 2006 when our Managing Partner, Amanda McAlister was invited by its former Chief Executive, Clint Elliott, to provide services to those retired police officers who were facing divorce or family law disputes.
Since then, Amanda and members of the McAlister Family Law team have represented thousands of members of the police service and NARPO all over the country.
In addition to our general services, we offer the following expertise when it comes to family legal protection for retired police officers:
- Expert advice in relation to police divorce when your pension is in payment
- Advice on pensions, particularly in relation to police divorce and injury pensions
- Advice on wider family issues, including grandparents’ rights
- Cohabitation disputes
Our Dedicated Team Offers NARPO Members
We know just how difficult any legal proceeding can be, which is why we are with our clients from beginning to end.

As an organisation, NARPO strives to support police officers after they leave the police force.
Divorce and family law disputes can be extremely stressful, especially when there are children involved. At McAlister Family Law, we make it a priority to understand the emotional and physical impact that a dispute can have on you and your family unit.
We offer a range of support services to help you get to brighter times.
