The Beginning

McAlister Family Law is Beyond Group’s specialist Family and Children Law practice. The Group established the family law firm in 2017.

Beyond Group, led by Matt Fleetwood had a vision of creating niche specialist law firms which clients and customers could identify with and where clients would receive the very best service, marrying commercial legal services with personal legal services without confusion. After establishing specialist corporate and commercial firm Beyond Corporate in early 2017, which acts for some of the country’s leading business owners and entrepreneurs, the Group later that same year established specialist and niche family and children law firm McAlister Family Law, to be led by Amanda McAlister.

Amanda McAlister is one of the country’s most experienced and respected family law practitioners. Prior to joining the Group, she headed the Family Law division of international law firm Slater and Gordon, where she built one of the largest family law teams in the country. Having worked in large city centre practices for most of her career, Amanda had a vision of a firm that provided best in class service and expertise for all family law matters. As a divorcee, mother and step-parent, she appreciates the stresses and strains that a marital breakdown can cause and the need for a clear strategy to move the family and more importantly children onto happier times.

The Here and Now

Since its launch, McAlister Family Law has grown and developed considerably becoming an award-winning family law firm, quickly achieving the gold standard of the legal world – Lexcel Accreditation. The firm is home to a specialist divorce and finance team with an unrivalled track record for delivering results for our clients.

We have also developed three specialist children teams, five solicitors of which are members of the Law Society’s advanced children panel. We represent parents, babies that are yet to be born, children taking their

The firm represents key workers in their time of need and has developed further its already deep and long-lasting connections with major national organisations such as the National Crime Agency.

The Future
