Our work in the community

Our work in
the community

The team at McAlister Family Law are committed to making a positive and lasting impact on our community.

We are proud to support our community. We do this by:

  • Making charitable contributions to our local and national charities
  • By using our legal expertise to offer pro bono advice
  • By offering our services for free at local citizen advice bureaus
  • By creating a positive culture that allows our staff to flourish and fullfil their career goals whilst achieving the work life balance

Legal education

We appreciate the importance of forging strong links with legal education providers and work closely in particular with the University of Law. We are the lead sponsor of the University of Law highest achieving LL.B student prize. We have also partnered with a number of schools near our Cheshire offices, including Cheadle Hulme School, Stockport Grammar School, The Ryleys and Alderley Edge School for Girls, providing mentoring opportunities and career workshops to students

Promoting diversity in the profession

We are proud to support the following organisations that promote diversity in the legal profession:

  • Black Solicitors Network
  • Leading Ways – initiated by our family lawyer Charlotte Percy
  • Manchester Young Solicitors Group
  • Northern Power Women
  • Women in the Law and Business

McAlister Family Law is proud to support a large number of charities and causes. We have a proactive approach to corporate social responsibility, and give back to our local and further afield communities. Some of the charities we have worked with include:
